PADI Divemaster Take the first step in your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities, assist instructors with student divers and conduct dive boat charters.
What do I need to start?: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another training organization PADI Rescue Diver certification or qualifying certification from another training organization. Medical clearance signed by a physician Current CPR/First Aid certification. 20 logged dives 18 years old
There are three steps to be conducted with this course: - Watermanship and Skills Assesment: Four phases of pool exercises such as; 400yd swim, 15 minute tread water, 800yd snorkel swim, 100yd inert diver tow, PADI skill-evaluation circuit, problem solving assesment, equipment exchange and diver Rescue skill assesment.
- Knowledge Development: Learning will include, supervising diving activities, assisting student divers, dive theory, physics, physiology, dive equipment, decompression theory, repeditive dive planner, divemaster conducted programs, risk management and more....
- Practical Application: Practical skill experience as an instuctional assistant in both confined and open-water settings, such as; working with Open Water, Advanced and/or Rescue classes.
