I learned to scuba dive in 1997 fulfilling a life long dream started with the old Sea Hunt series. After collecting more than the average number of diving specialties, I certified as a Dive Master in 2000. Working as a dive master for a couple of local shops, I finally settled at Pacific Watersports. I certified as a PADI instructor in 2002 and currently hold the rating of Master Scuba Diver Trainer. I'm certified to teach many PADI specialties, American Heart Basic Life Support and PADI Emergency First Response.
My passion for northwest diving led me to certify as a trimix diver doing the deep and the dark. These passions drive me to Canada 4 times a year to dive the emerald seas of British Columbia. Canada is an outstanding venue to dive wrecks; explore deep walls and run my underwater scooter to my hearts content. Volunteering at the Oregon Coastal Aquarium as a shift captain diver takes care of the undergraduate biologist in me. I have more than a 1000 dives and over 800 underwater hours. Other interests include shooting sports and hunting. I have an advanced degree in psychology and am currently semi-retired from the business world.
